PN Elrod is an American author of urban fantasy and horror fiction. She was born on September 18, 1954, in Dallas, Texas. Elrod is best known for her series of novels featuring the vampire detective Jack Fleming, beginning with "Bloodlist" in 1990. Her other notable works include the "Vampire Files," "Jack Fleming," "Jonathan Barrett," and "Thing" series.
